TV3′s Ireland AM vet – video of viewers’ queries

This week, I answered the usual selection of viewers’ queries – see below for the questions and click here to watch the video.

1.   Thinking of getting a Yorkshire terrier but i have two adult male neutered cats would they get along?

2.   What’s the right age to get female pups spayed? I have  two 10 week olds.

3.   I have two red setters one being a 4 year old bitch she gets on ok with other dogs but she freaks when she is around small pups how can I get her to accept a new pup?

4.   My dog has Cushings disease he’s on medication for it but will the disease shorten his life ?

5.   Our westie terrier male has started snapping at anyone who comes in or a stranger who pats him, he is 5 yrs any advice ?

6.   Any tips on how you help a German Shepard with separation anxiety when we go to work he howls all day gets so upset untill he sees us again
