Daily Telegraph vet “Pet Subjects”: pets with human names, guinea pig behaviour, a “sink-jumping dog”, clipping cat claws, organising fund dog shows & two Border Collies looking for a home

The two “rescue dogs of the week”, pictured above,  are Lassie & Ollie. They were originally rehomed by the Border Collie Trust  in 2009 and 2010 and have lived together ever since. Unfortunately their owner passed away suddenly in April and with no one in the family able to care for them they’ve come back to the Trust. Ollie (black and white male) is 3 years of age and Lassie (red and white female) is 4 year of age. Both are very friendly and certainly enjoy each others company. It’s for this reason that it’s been decided to rehome them together as Lassie doesn’t like being seperated from Ollie.
They’re not used to being around young children so would suit a home with children from about 8 years.
Neither have spent much time travelling and Ollie had the odd “housetraining” accident in the home although they do appear clean in kennels.
If you feel you could offer a home to them together and would like to know more about Lassie and Ollie then please contact Border Collie Trust GB on 0871 560 2282 or visit www.bordercollietrustgb.org.uk
